First announced on Beyond The Contour in February 2022, Michael & Chris Keiser have officially announced Rodeo Dunes, the newest Dream Golf property inside an hour from downtown Denver, Colorado.

Set on 2,000+ acres just off Interstate 76 on the way to Ballyneal & Nebraska, the property is an expansive, rolling sandy piece of ground in Colorado’s Front Range, with room for up to six golf courses. “The moment I set foot on this land, I knew this was the place,” Michael Keiser said, “the dunes are perfect—tall and rolling, with unlimited possibilities for great golf holes.”

The first two golf courses will come from Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw, who have worked with the Keiser family since 2005’s Bandon Trails, and Jim Craig, one of Coore & Crenshaw’s longtime go-to shapers, for his own solo debut. Construction begins this year, with sights set on a 2025 opening date. A short course and putting course will be next on the docket, which are currently in the planning stages.

The land requires minimal shaping. We know what kind of amazing work Bill and Ben do, and their routing is as great as you would expect from them. Jimmy Craig’s layout explores the property in a way that feels both familiar and fresh. These two courses will complement each other and will be a blast to play.

The Dream Golf portfolio is an impressive grouping of destination style golf courses, including the Cabot portfolio—Cape Breton, Revelstoke, Cabot Highlands in Scotland, St. Lucia, and Citrus Farms in Florida—Sand Valley in Wisconsin, and Bandon Dunes. Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw have largely been at the helm of numerous golf courses under the umbrella, including Cabot Cliffs, Cabot Point at St. Lucia, Sand Valley, The Sandbox at Sand Valley, Bandon Trails, Bandon Preserve, and more recently, Sheep Ranch.

Rodeo Dunes will mark the first solo build for Jim Craig, who is a longtime associate of Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw. While his name may be new, his work at golf courses such as East Hampton, Old Sandwich, Friar’s Head, and Sheep Ranch is enjoyed and tested among thousands of golfers each year.
